The Circle W Trailers Story.

LIttle bit about us

Circle W Trailers, Inc., based in McKenzie, Alabama, is a family-owned business under fourth-generation management. Years of hard work and a quality product have been the keys to the success of Circle W Trailers.

When we started.

Humble beginnings for a small town company.

Our History

Established in 1965, Circle W Trailers, Inc. began manufacturing livestock trailers for a relatively local market. As the inconvenience of “trailer hauling” became more and more evident, so did the demand for our trailers. In the early 1970s, the need for expansion was apparent as trailering needs progressed. The expansion included gooseneck-type trailers, as well as equipment and various utility-type trailers.

Throughout the 1980s, our company growth and diversified product line, combined with an extensive dealer network, once again presented the opportunity for expansion.

As the 1990s rolled in, the implementation of another phase of expansion began. This phase, which doubled the size of the production facilities, along with an almost completely redesigned product, enabled production to reach another historic increase.

In 2000, the demand for aluminum trailers presented an additional opportunity for growth. Once again, a vision of expansion was on the horizon. In June 2001, housed in a new 7,500 sq. ft. plant, production of the aluminum gooseneck trailers began.

In 2008, another opportunity presented itself as our dealers asked for an aluminum bumper-type trailer. After a few months of careful research, the development of our aluminum bumper pull trailers began. As with previous product additions, this too was successful as it was not only a welcomed addition by existing dealers. It also brought new dealers to “the family” as our products began reaching an international market.

As with many companies, Circle W Trailers, Inc. was not exempt from a failing economy. As fear struck the hearts of Americans, our company began noticing a drastic decrease in sales. 2009 and 2010 proved to be trying times for U.S. manufacturers, and our company was no exception. However, shutting down was not an option. Through an aggressive but selective search for additional areas of distribution, which produced dealers in five more states, including Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri, Circle W Trailers, Inc. continued production with no employee layoffs.

As 2011 approached, so did another addition to the line of aluminum trailers; the aluminum gooseneck LRB, now designed and placed into production. A trailer designed with more of a “horse person” in mind, the LRB brought a freshness to our product line. An array of options gave this unit almost unlimited design possibilities.

With over 30 dealers in 13 states, as well as Canada and the Dominican Republic, we see a future that is very promising for our company. The commitment to quality and dedication to service remains the foremost priority to Circle W Trailers.
